It was the pleasure of His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III along with other dignitaries to be in attendance yesterday as His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented the Staff of Office to Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III making him the 21st in the line of those who have sat on the revered throne of Ogbomosho as Soun.
His Majesty’s attendance was testament to the great bond between the people of the kingdoms of Warri and Ogbomosho as well as the longstanding friendship between His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III and His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III.
His Majesty celebrates with the people of Ogbomosho as he expressed his confidence that Ogbomosho will see greater progress and prosperity in the reign of Orumogege III. His Majesty wishes the new Soun well on the path of leading his people to newer and greater heights, and prays for a long and peaceful reign for the king.
