In a moment of historic significance on Monday 20th May, 2024, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, led a motorcade on the ongoing constructed Trans Warri-Ode Itsekiri Road and bridges. The procession began at Ugbodede and concluded at the Palace in Ode-Itsekiri.
His Majesty was accompanied by Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, a retinue of chiefs and other representatives from Setraco Nigeria Limited.
Hitherto, Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral capital of the Warri kingdom had only been accessible by the waters. This significant infrastructural milestone enhances connectivity between Ode-Itsekiri and surrounding communities.
His Majesty commends the state government and contractors for their unwavering dedication to the completion of this critical project, and anticipates the road will serve as a catalyst for development in Ode-Itsekiri and its environs.
